Breakout-cables are optical fibers that are covered with a coating (900 micron) and are individually wrapped in an (aramide) reinforcement layer and an LSZH-coating.These units are twisted into a cable that can be used for indoor- and outdoor-applications. Breakout-cables are used to connect patch-panels, switches, cameras, etc. The colour of the coating depends on the type of fiber.
Distribution-cables are optical fibers that are covered with a 900 micron coating and covered with a mantle. Distribution-cables usually are used for indoor-applications. The colour of the mantle depends on the type of fiber.
Riser cables are mini-breakout cables or mini-distribution-cables that are quite compact and therefore easy to install. For example at cable routing systems and elevator shafts. A specific characteristic of the Riser cable is that no gel is applied. It allows them to be installed perfectly vertically in apartment buildings.
The Breakout-cable, Distribution-cable, and Riser cable can all be equipped with connectors.
Indoor-cables are available in various types for different applications, both in a loose tube or in a central tube construction. Breakout-, Distribution- and Riser cables are installed indoor and are applied, for example, in access optical fiber networks and local networks such as data centers, tunnels or buildings with the purpose of fast data transmission. These optical fiber cables are placed on ladder tracks, in cable routing systems, underneath floors and in elevator shafts.
