Central tube optical fiber cables are tubes equipped with a certain number of optical fibers, wrapped in aramide/glass yarns for pulling strength and protection. Outdoor Central tube cables in addition have a PE coating (polyethylene) for further protection, while Central tube cables for indoor use have a LSZH coating (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). Below the coating they may also be armed in case the cable is placed directly in the ground, on ladder tracks, or in cablerouting systems. Central tube optical fiber cables are applied in telecom- and LAN-networks, and are characterized by extremely fast transmission speeds. On top of the standard cables, Infraconcepts also supplies customized optical fiber cables.
Central tube optical fiber cables are applied, for example, in low-fiber backbone networks, access optical fiber networks, or local networks where data transfer at high speed and in great quantities are required. The optical fiber cable usually is blown or pulled in a cable protection tube, or laid in the ground directly (armed version), but is also applied indoors, on ladder tracks or in cable routing systems in tunnels and data centers.
