Central tube cable

Get in the fast lane

Central tube optical fiber cables are tubes equipped with a certain number of optical fibers, wrapped in aramide/glass yarns for pulling strength and protection. Outdoor Central tube cables in addition have a PE coating (polyethylene) for further protection, while Central tube cables for indoor use have a LSZH coating (Low Smoke Zero Halogen). Below the coating they may also be armed in case the cable is placed directly in the ground, on ladder tracks, or in cablerouting systems. Central tube optical fiber cables are applied in telecom- and LAN-networks, and are characterized by extremely fast transmission speeds. On top of the standard cables, Infraconcepts also supplies customized optical fiber cables.

Applicability

Central tube optical fiber cables are applied, for example, in low-fiber backbone networks, access optical fiber networks, or local networks where data transfer at high speed and in great quantities are required. The optical fiber cable usually is blown or pulled in a cable protection tube, or laid in the ground directly (armed version), but is also applied indoors, on ladder tracks or in cable routing systems in tunnels and data centers.

You decide

  • Optical fiber cable that is blown or pulled through a cable protection tube.
  • Metal-free, or with metal armouring.
  • Indoor or outdoor.
  • Cables for direct placement in the ground, on ladder tracks, in cable trunkings.
  • Cables for in concrete or plastic ducts.
  • Optical fiber cable for the petro-chemical industry (see Industrial cables).
  • Number of integrated fibers and fiber type (see Optical fibers)
  • Colour and printing can be customized.

Your advantages

  • Fast: Faster data transfer compared to copper cables.
  • Flexible: Flexible cable, light, and available in various constructions.
  • Reliable: Resistant to outside disturbances.
  • Secure: Optical fiber cables cannot be wiretapped like copper cables.
